4th of July - Debut of Arlington

Click here to hear the song: http://www.myspace.com/araknydrocks

Thanks to the city of Cutler Bay for having Jake Berreth and I debut "Arlington". I wrote this song in the past 3 months. Its been a life long urge in my spirit to honor those who have given so much so that we can be free. Growing up in Maryland and working in Washington D.C. the image of the area has been edged in me. My heartfelt prayer goes out to all those who made this country so awesome AND not just this country but others too.

It was an honor to debut this song before Cutler bays Boyscouts, City Council, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Mayor, and most of all about a dozen or so veterans from WWII to a young man just back from Afganistan. God Bless you all and God Bless America!

Check back soon to hear the song... If I can figure out how to upload it I'll do it this week.

Special Thanks to Jake Berreth and Louise Lockwood who made it possible!

My Brother-in-law developed the cure for cancer - no joke

Yep, the cure for cancer WITHOUT radiation (there are some limitations based on location from my understanding). I am just another relative that is very proud just to know, much less be related to Rafael. [hope you don't mind Raf] Since he reads my blogs...

Although I'm proud of Rafaels accomplishments I am more proud of who Rafael is...

His most recent, and to me, greatest accomplishment, is a beautiful baby girl. We can now add to a loving husband, a loving Father.

Its so great to see/know someone who has accomplished great things is still so humble and a simple man. I attribute most of that to his faith. I remember when Rafael was younger and I was dating his sister that he would often be at the local Catholic church working as an assistant to a priest. I don't know the details of what he did but I know that just being around these people who I believe truely were seeking to do God's will, had a impact on his life.

One of my favorite quotes from Raf was, "The more you know, the more you realize how little you actually know".

He and his wife who are is also very strong in her faith will leave a great mark on this world...their children

I added some links to reports on the borrowing cancer stuff ;)

Who wants to see God at Work?

God was using some Riff-Raff on June 7th to speak to people in Cutler Bay... What did he say? I LOVE YOU TOO...

It was a great time of fellowship, seeing God, and listening to what He wants for this community.
YOU WANT TO SEE HIM....He is enviting you right now to join Him.

Papa-Proud

My 8 year old ran in her first (and hopefully not last) 5K on June 8th

Bring it home girl... coming to the FINISH line.

Congratulations - Girls On the Run

Mr. Controversy is on the Air

OK lets talk...
My latest 2 peeves
1) People who criticize our president and when you ask them why they don't like him all they can come up with is the economy. I think thats pretty funny. We are more responsible for the economy than he is. Specially in South Florida. Ah, lets see, let me see if I can sell my house for 10 times its value...wow it worked...I think we are all drunk on Evian (Naive backwards - legend was that college students thought of selling the bottled water as a prank...myth). Ok so there is the war (which really wasnt even a war). Not enough page to get into it but anyone who has their car vandalized in front of their face and the hole nieghborhood is watching too and does nothing about it... let me keep it nice...
2) Secular Church. Yep I said it. We Christians are trying so hard to produce a show called church where the writers are all people who hate church. AAAHHHH. Frustrating. I'm not saying I know the answer but I know thats NOT IT. Lets get back to the "Acts" church. People who were met right where they were at and as a result of the message they came together to help (in every way) and encourage each other and those in the area.
(stepping off)
